Ingredients

Adjust Servings:
200 g oats
100 g seeds mix (pumpkin, sunflower, sesame, flax seeds) (you can buy a mix or you can create you own mix with the seeds you prefere)
75 g walnuts or pecan nuts
75 g hazelnuts and almonds (or a mix of peanuts and coconut flakes)
1 teaspoon chilli flakes (or more if you want it more spicy)
2 teaspoons ground turmeric
2 teaspoons ground cumin
2 teaspoons ground coriander seeds
2 teaspoons sea salt
50 ml olive oil or melted coconut oil

Who said granola has to be only sweet?
Granola is also delicious in savoury version. Oats go perfectly with seeds, nuts and spices.
Savoury granola is a healthy snack or can add some crunch to salads, soups and risottos too.
You can choose the mix of seeds and nuts you prefer. You can also choose the spices you like.

Heat oven to 180C/160C fan/ gas 4 - medium heat.

Mix all the ingredients in a large bowl, stirring well to make sure that the oats, nuts and seeds are well coated. Spread out on a large baking sheet.

Bake for 25-30 minutes or until lightly golden and crunchy, stirring halfway to ensure they cook evenly.
Allow to cool completely, then store in a jar.

Sprinkle over salads and soups. This savoury granola is also a tasty snack.
